2.56 - CoreData release

First two quarters of 2021 have been marked with the first phase (out of two) of the product hardening and security enhancement to CoreData solution and infrastructure by upgrading to Python 3.

By using Python 3, CoreData enforces better security and compliance and continues accessing new features and libraries from the wider Python community. Continuous security protection along with continuity of customer environments are our highest priorities.

Also, this year CoreData became ISO27001 certified, meeting the highest internationally recognized security standard.

Other product improvements in this v2.56 release can be grouped as follows:

API improvements

In this release, there are a couple of API enhancements that bring enriched data and better-captured data accuracy and information quality, especially when managing contact details (emails, phone numbers).

  • (APIv2) User is enabled to set organization when create/update contacts

  • (APIv3) Ability to capture various metadata (dynatypes) for contacts

  • (APIv3) Ability to set template when creating files

  • (APIv3) Support for various metadata (dynatypes) of file creation

User Interface improvements

User interface improvements in this version are related to data cleansing and data quality which imply a better and smarter way of how phone numbers, email addresses and tags are created, trimmed and saved.

In terms of functional improvements, this product release has improved the way of how users can search realities through global search.

CoreData Virtual Drive updates & Outlook plugin updates

CoreData Virtual Drive update is available and all the clients using the virtual drive are invited to update their CoreData Virtual Drives on the new version 4.8 as well as Outlook plugin version 2.2.

CoreData Virtual Drive and Outlook plugin improvements are reflected through security hardening and the support of TLS 1.2 and higher. Transport Layer Security (TLS) is the successor protocol to SSL, supported by CoreData. TLS is an improved version of SSL. It works in much the same way as the SSL, using encryption to protect the transfer of data and information.

Our clients who use CoreData Virtual Drive will notice the new icon(s) that we have implemented to make it more recognizable and aligned with our product brand.
